Hulp gevraagd!!

Lieve bezoekers,

Liefs,

Marlies.

zelf labeldoekje maken / DIY baby label cloth

This baby label cloth is easy to make your self. You need 2 pieces of terry towelling, rounds or squares and left over pieces of fabric with a nice pattern or bright colour. Put the 2 pieces of terry towelling with the right side together on top of each other. Put the double folded labels in, about every inch. Pin it all together, stitch, leave little opening for turning your fabric, cut off excess fabric, turn and hand stitch the last piece.

On this drawing you can see the 2 layers of terry towelling in blue. The green shows how to put the labels, to the inside, between the 2 layers of fabric, when you pin them. You will see the labels on the outside when you turn the fabric after stitching.

DIY memoriepaneel / memory panel

I made this panel for my friends birthday.

Zo zag het er eerst uit.

This is the before picture.

First I sandpapered the frame and after that I put some primer (waterbased) on it.

De laag grondverf licht opschuren.

Sandpaper the primer layer.

I choose an old white colour to finish the frame.

When this layer is dried you can give it a bit of an older look with sandpaper. Do this at the places and edges you prefer.

This is the panel that came with the painting.

Het paneel gaan we behangen.

The panel will be wallpapered.

Rub in the wallpaper with adhesive, pay attention to the edges.

Fold the sides and let the adhesive soak in.

Bekleed het paneel.

Put the wallpaper on the panel.

Strijk het behang glad, zodat eventuele bubbels eruit gaan.

Smooth out the wallpaper. Remove bubbles.

Snijd uitstekende randen weg met een hobbymesje.

Cut off the excess with a sharp knife.

Zoek passend lint bij je behang.

Seek for matching ribbon.

Lay out your pattern before attaching.

Maak het lint vast aan de achterkant.

Attach the ribbon on the back side.

Finish the back side with the same wallpaper.

Remove the clips with a pair of tongs and put them on the ribbon.

Make some nice cards and put them up.

DIY stoffen babyboekje maken / fabric babybook

I made this litlle book to put in the giftbox. It's made out of felt, needle and thread, ribbon and hotfix stones.

Werkbeschrijving / Instructions ;

Cut squares, 4 x 4 inch, out of felt with a ruler and a cirkle cutter.

Punch a hole in the corner of each square.

Druk er een eyelet door.

Push an eyelet true.

Knijp de eyelet dicht met de tang

pinch the eyelet flat with the pincer.

Zo ziet het er dan uit.

This is what it looks like.

Take needle and tread and finish the edges with a sloping effect.

Seek for images and cut them out of paper. Pin them on the felt and cut out.

Make a running stitch for the edges of the images. Use a hotfix stone as an eye.

Ik heb 4 vierkantjes gebruikt en 8 plaatjes. De plaatjes heb ik bevestigt met vliesofix.

I used 4 squares and 8 images. The images are attached with iron on vliesofix.

Klaar!!

Stack the squares on top of each other and pull a ribbon true the eyelets. Finished!!

DIY; babygirl giftbox - zelf popje maken

This is the little cuddly I made for the babygirl giftbox.

Werkbeschrijving / instructions;

Cut two rectangles (blue line) of fabric, 6 x 9 inch. Sew fabric with good sides towards each other. Leave a opening (red line)at the top, that is where the little head will come.

Turn your rectangle, the right side of the fabric will be on the outside. Fill (pink) the corners and close (green line) them by hand with needle and thread.

Cut the figure above once out of the fabric. Put good sides of the fabric on each other, the orange square on top of the other orange square. Sew the side.

Also cut a square out of the fabric and fill the middle. So you will have a nice and round head. Sew firm by hand.

Put the hat on top of the head and sew them together by hand.

On the top drawing you can see the opening, in red, on the top of the rectangle. Put the head inside. Start with a running stitch, in green, quit a bit under the opening, so your fabric will rinkle. After that you go around the opening and head. Do it firmly. Head and body must be firmly attached.
